Dr. Josh Tims grew up in Milbank, South Dakota and moved to Mitchell when he was in the 4th grade. He graduated from Mitchell Christian High School in 1999 and went on to attend South Dakota State University receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. He got his Doctorate Degree with distinction from the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, California.
Dr. Tims has completed clinical rotations at the VA Hospital in Nevada, the Indian Health Service Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma, a multi-lingual office in South Central Los Angeles, and various local specialty clinics in Orange County. South Dakota State licensed and board certified in ocular pharmaceutical agents and minor surgical procedures for the optometrist, Dr. Tims' training and experience allow him to diagnose, treat, and manage or co-manage eye conditions.
Dr. Tims is a member of the American Optometric Association and the South Dakota Optometric Society.
When Dr. Tims is not helping people with their visual needs, he enjoys golf, basketball, working out and spending time with family and friends.
